BioCrafting
In addition to making craft supplies, I am dedicated to researching the potential of bioplastics for DIY projects. Interested?!?! Check out the free zines with more information
Flower Ring
This ring is designed as a small, sculptural companion to the Enchanted Flower Necklace and earrings. It carries the same organic forms and shifting color, scaled down into a piece meant to be worn comfortably every day.
The ring features a handmade resin flower form as an adjustable metal band. The open design allows the ring to gently flex for a comfortable fit across different finger sizes while keeping the form visually light and balanced.
Lightweight and thoughtfully constructed, it’s designed to feel intentional rather than delicate.
Handcrafted and One of a Kind
Each resin element is cast and handwrapped by hand. Because of this process, no two rings are exactly alike. Subtle variations in shape, surface, and color shift are part of the making process and make each ring unique.
Your ring may differ slightly from the photos, but it will be made with the same care and attention to detail.
Adjustable and Comfortable
The open band allows the ring to be adjusted for fit, making it easy to wear on different fingers or accommodate changes in comfort throughout the day. The smooth, polished surfaces feel comfortable against the skin and can offer a subtle, tactile experience.
Color Description
This piece features a deep blue base that reflects soft pink tones when it catches the light. The color shifts subtly as you move, giving the beads an almost glowing, enchanted quality. Depending on the angle and lighting, the blue can appear cooler and calm or warm with flashes of pink, making the piece feel dynamic and alive rather than flat.
The shifting color is created by layered pigments within the resin, so the effect is built into the material itself rather than sitting on the surface. It reflects light slightly differently, adding to the sense that no two pieces are exactly the same.
My Mission
Purchasing this ring helps support my ongoing work in biomaterial and bioplastic research.
My goal is to make sustainable material experimentation more accessible and DIY-friendly, allowing more people to explore alternatives to traditional plastics outside of institutional labs. Each piece helps fund materials, prototyping, and research that move this work forward.
By wearing this ring, you’re supporting slow, intentional making and the future of sustainable materials.
